Robert Martin

My name is Robert Martin, Founder and CEO of Lean Tossup. I am a Master’s student at Brock University studying Biology (Bioinformatics). I have also completed my H.BSc in Biochemistry.

I wanted to make a website where people can go to avoid the spin from the pundits on TV.  Where people can look at the polling data and figure out what that actually means for the election themselves instead of having to take partisans at their word. The whole point of this website isn’t just to figure who is going to win, but why are they going to win, and to try to understand the fundamental demographic shifts behind it.

Curtis Fric

My name is Curtis Fric and I’m the owner and operator of Polling USA, Canada, Australasia and UK on Twitter and Facebook.  I am also a chief content officer for LeanTossup.

I’ve completed a four-year honours undergraduate in political science from Brock University and currently enrolled in a two-year diploma in sales and marketing at Niagara College. I continue my ongoing mission of providing polling data online in a way that is easy to access, free and clear regarding their methodologies to better inform the public.

Alex McPhee

Currently based out of Val Marie, Saskatchewan, I’m lucky to have one of the most interesting jobs in the entire world – professional cartographer. In my capacity at LeanTossup, I’m head of graphics and design.

I hold a BSc. in Geophysics from the University of Alberta, but there’s not a lot of work in seismics these days, so I became the proud publisher of Alex McPhee’s Province of Alberta. Awarded Best Reference Map (2020) by the Cartography and Geographic Information Society, it is the most detailed map ever created using open-source software. In addition to my artwork, I have an academic background in data science and GIS.
